SQI is devoted to support software quality management and development, dealing with this subject in its complexity. It connects software specialists working in the commercial world with those working in the academic and research areas. The Institute ensures spreading theoretical knowledge about world-wide leading models, standards, methods and techniques connected to software quality and supports their application in Hungary by teaching, consulting, technical support in appliance and auditing.
By its strong connections to the academic sphere SQI ensures that models, standards, methods and techniques connected to software quality become available among the Hungarian software companies. At the same time, it contributes to enhancement and development of such models, standards, methods and techniques by participating in (inter)national research projects on one hand, and by bringing the results, experience and enhancement opportunities of practical application of the models, standards, methods and techniques from companies effectively using them to the researchers who developed them.
SQI provides its services in the surrounding Eastern and Central European countries as well.
